Collection of wall-mounted cabinets which can be interpreted as wished by choosing from amongst the endless materials, finishes and textures offered by Capo d’opera. Eye-catching detail on the marble or Solid Surface top.
A selection of 4 finishes that draw inspiration from the world of metals. A feeling that is at the same time very refined and materic; the reflections, shadings and scorings characterising them are the marks of skilled craftsmanship and an extremely sophisticated taste. Each intervention is unique, each item of furniture is handcrafted in our workshops.
Digital patterns made to millimetric perfection match with the irregular resin surface, which acts as a “skin” to create exquisite “exclusive pieces”. The vast array of graphic themes customises the “cement” effect of these textures, which are so anti-conformist yet so versatile in the way they can be matched with more rigorously designed, minimalist furniture and environments.
This new collection of textures combines manufacturing skill with high quality craftsmanship in a new production technique inspired by the art of tattooing. The contrast between the furniture’s clear-cut lines and the innately elegant “rough metal” effect of the resin surface is amazing. Wood panelling featuring these textures sets new trends in interior design.
Firwood, one of several types of wood we offer, is available in a number of versions, both polished and matt, from chrome-effect to brushed finish, and shows just how much we love to experiment with applying out-of-the-ordinary coatings.
These decorations lend themselves extremely well to the 3D engraving process; what differentiates them is the special artistic technique of creating patterns or geometric figures with a strong visual impact.
The Creative 3D patterns are produced using extremely precise digitally controlled instruments, so any irregularities on the surface of the area being processed are tolerable as they depend on how even the density of the wooden substrate on which the workmanship is carried out is. Each individual piece is then hand finished.
The extent to which abrasion is evident in these decorations depends on the density of the wood agglomerate substrate while the unevenness of the surface depends on the hardness and size of the wood fibre. The abrasion process is carried out manually by our technicians using special instruments.
Clear and pigmented resins undergo a more pronounced process of natural yellowing when compared with surfaces or resins that have been painted over. These effects, which may vary in intensity, may occur following more or less prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, UV rays or after being placed in areas with particularly bright light. The resins are poured on or applied manually as a coat in our workshops, this guarantees that every single piece is unique and cannot be replicated.
Leaf application requires complete competence in handling the leaves and absolute respect for the intervals between the various production stages. Signs of the leaves creasing, slight oxidation or small variations in colour are natural features of the material and vary according to the degree of ambient humidity and lighting conditions.
